"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action. It is not your business to determine how good it is, nor how valuable, or how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to stay open and aware to the urges that motivate you." — Martha Graham |

The Earth Posted on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 — Listed under Topics of Interest
We went to see the Earth movie for Earth Day. That's the beauty of homeschooling. You get to go to the movies and count it as science. It was a wonderful film with outstanding footage. I had seen most of it on the TV series Planet Earth, but it was something to see on the big screen! I cried from the first moment the first picture appeared. I cannot look at nature without immediately thinking of the Creator and all that has been so preciously given to us to sustain us. It is truly amazing; the incredible balance that we are all a part of.

That is why I love to go camping and hiking and canoeing. When I am among nature, it is like I'm home. It's like nature is where my real home is and should be. I was so happy to share the experience of this film with my kids. With kids, it is even more meaningful. My hope is that because they have grown up more knowledgeable about the earth and concious of the effects we have on this planet, that they will always be aware of their actions and choices and make different ones from those that have been made in the past. I hope that this film will revive a sense of reverence in every soul that sees it. The earth is such a precious gift to humanity. We have so much to be thankful for and every physical sign holds a spiritual symbol within it to be cherished and remembered.
